Well, I jumped off the deep end and bought a BK14 and a set of orange/black scales! I'll have the knife in 12 days when I make it back to the US! I'll be sure to take some pics and post them. I'll have a good opportunity to use it while back to, so I'll post up some of those pics too!

This is my first Becker :)
 
You've not hit deep end just yet. A rare Becker purchase at around $300 would be deep. But anywho, welcome to the madness.

You're sure to luv it, especially with the scales.

The 24 was my first Becker (it's the D2 version of the 14) and adding the scales made all the difference.
 
Onya bud! The 14 is awesome! But being in Bolivia, you're going to need a big blade now. The 9 or the 4 would pair really well with your 14. But, the 5 would also make a fine buddy for your 14, as young TravisH will testify, and he's right too. He'll also try and talk you into buying a 15. Simply put, you're surrounded by enablers. Don't expect any leeway here bud! We WILL make you spend serious coin on delicious CroVan!

I just checked tracking and it will be delivered tomorrow! Now I just need to make all my flights so I can meet my BK14 and put the scales on it. 1 week to go!

Congrats! I bought my 14 on a whim after already owning a couple of big boys(bk2 then bk9). I very quickly fell in love with it. Home made scales then a sheath, it's been riding in my back pocket since.
Next time just order several to save on shipping and to tide you over until the next set arrives :D
 
The deep end is when you start buying Beckers you aren't even interested in just to see what the fuss is about.
 
The 14 is a great place to start the addiction haha

You'll know you're past the point of no return when you start trying to collect a minimum of 1 of every Becker made as well as those you can't get anymore caugh caugh $300 for a bk1 on fleabay
