In my search for a very low profile folder to be carried in the front pocket, I think the deepest I have found is the EDI Genesis. I would however love to have the spyder-hole, hence the question.

Any ideas?

The Centofante has a very low profile but comes with a silver clip. The Standard has a very low profile. The new Native, Delica, and Endura are not real low in the pocket but they are all black and inconspicuous.

I'll agree that the Genesis is the deepest. It's low, but I don't favor it over the more traditional 3 screw spyderco clips. Just a personal preference.

The calypso series is also pretty low, and you gotta love the gold spyder clip. Well, I do anyway.

I've got my Centofante Jr. in my pocket right now, but the Calypso Jr. lightweight is probably my most discreet carry.

I bet the Centofante would look great with one of those black/gold spyder clips!

I always thought the Wayne Goddard had a low profile clip compared to the other Spyderco's.

I only have the Standard (Military and probably a Native coming soon), but I can attest that it carries remarkably low. I was choosing between the Standard and the Rookie for an everyday carry, and one of the features I liked about the Standard was that it rides so low. I measured for you--less than a half an inch above the pocket line. Plus, it's all black. I may order another one since they're discontinued.

My Standard rides deeper in the pocket than any other medium/large Spyderco.
The Navigator and Toad clip deeper for the smaller models.

10x everybody - the problem is not being able to handle any of them before deciding, and all the sites are posting only one side pictures of them. can anyone direct me to a site that has images of BOTH sides???

The Centofante seems to ride the lowest in the pocket..
You can order a Centofante black pocket clip from the Spyderco Outlet for $3.95 shipped.
They have them in stock..

hey Blilious,
you surprise me..you already have the lowest profile spyderco there is.
it is the SHABARIA! check it again and you'll see. it rides as low as the centofante.
scorpio.

Scorpio - Don't embarrass me in front of everyone here...

I can always kick your a@## IRL for doing that... or at least try to...

Anyway - it is NOT the lowest carry - I think the standard mentioned above is the lowest carry and thanks Guyon for the answer and the link.

I have a large Wayne Goddard w/ micarta grips and also the baby Goddard. I don't think they could get any lower than the large Goddard. It's all black and hides well behind the belt on the hip. But that's one of the best things about Spyderco is that they are very slim/

:) Ron

I went through some of my emails from Gadi after reading this and I remembered that my first interaction with Gadi was when I was trying to outbid him on an item being auctioned at another forum.

I sent him an email saying something along the lines of 'is that all you got'

He then doubled my bid sent me an email with a smiley face in it.

I miss him.

from what I can see, the meerkat has the lowest ride, as the wire clip is virtually flush with the knife. It would just look like a paperclip in your pocket.

rest in peace Gadi
