The ordinary and the "extraordinary" collector of Busse knives is, in my opinion, nothing less than a fucking idiot. A knife is a tool, nothing more and nothing less, and unless you are talking about a knife that has survived 150 or more years of usage, then its prabably just a hunk of steel and it's in no way "collectible." I would no more go to my local Home Depot and buy a Milwaukee Sawz-All to store in a fucking safe as a collectible as I would a hunk of good quality Busse, or Tops, Randal knives, or any other good quality tool. To the extent that Busse knives are created and marketed as be "collectible," they never will be 25 or 30 years from now. These are damned good quality semi-customer/semi-factory-created to be "users," and if you don't use them then you are just pissing on these tools and the existential purpose for which they are created. Ya'all "collectors" of modern knives - you dimwits that horde knives as 'safe-queens," are really a pitiful, silly bunch of assholes from any practical standpoint. GET A FUCKING LIFE!!! But a Busse knife to use it as it was intended to be used. The Busse Knife Co will be around for a long time making hundreds of thousands of knives for generations to come, and for as long as the market of dumb-ass "collectors' keeps jacking up the demand.
