You may have seen an earlier version of this sword, but I thought I'd put it up one more time, now that it's completed. As I said in my earlier post, this design is inspired by Jimmy Fikes Jungle Honey design, i.e., short blade, long handle.

Blade: Handforged at 16.5", with textured flats, and deeply engraved signature.
Handle: 16 inches long. Hardwood core, leather wrapped and then a second wrap of flatted burgandy paracord. Bird of Prey pommel.
Sheath: Almost as much work as the blade. Designed to be worn in the baldric style. Engraved into the leather are runes, "Demon Slayer." (Just thought it would be fun)

This sword is a superb cutter, as well as a very good thruster. But, mostly, it's just plain old fun to use.

And..for those who prefer a one hand sword, I made this short sword (16" blade) to be a companion to the larger one. Soon to be finished similiar to the larger blade, i.e., parawrapped handle, etc. (Sorry about the picture of the house, the computer would not let me unselect it)

Nice. I think I prefer the short one. The long one I'd want the handle to be double the size of the blade to fit my tastes, and then who knows how the balance would be.

Ahh, that blade of time thing--short stabbing spear. Actually, with the handle this long, I had a devil of a time working out the sheath and the rigging. But it wears nicely now. The one hander had to be a full flat grind, otherwise, it was just too heavy. But for its size, it's a swift blade.

We need some in-action video of the chopping prowess.

I should have thought of that earlier. The sword is going up for sale soon, and the blade is in a perfect, for sale condition. However, I have another sword on my workbench, which will be done fairly soon; I'll make sure to post some in-action cutting tests.
