I got curious about this model after looking at a few high res pics of this model. Is this model still being made? Is there a long wait time? I understand this is a very limited made piece, so availability is not as good, am I right in this assumption? Definitely not a user, more of a showpiece for me. $275 seems low for something this pretty. So....who here owns one and wants to share their thoughts?

The knife is similar in dimension to a 12" Sirupati, belly is just slightly bigger. Every bit as razor-sharp and ready-to-go as any HI khuk I've seen, although I only draw this one to admire it or show it off. The blade clearly deserves to be displayed outside the scabbard, best mirror finish I've seen.

The scabbard is gorgeous, not too functional but then it was not intended to be. I don't know if it was planned this way or not, but the scabbard does not rub the sides of the blade, thus keeping the blade's mirror finish unmarred by incidental contact.

Mine was received as a gift and as such is one of my most treasured possessions.

The knife itself is quite usable, though of course it's smaller. But there's nothing in the design which makes it awkward, as there is say in the Carved Garud ANg Khola. The chakma & karda are essential just decorative though and the scabbard isn't one I would take hiking with me.
It is a beauty - but of course Bura is quite a craftsman.

Here's a not very good picture of mine with weird scanner colors on the shiny parts.

It's not big (12 inches). Take the world's greatest kami, have him work with the best materials (fine silver, aged spotted deer horn), don't rush him (this isn't a "production" item), and this is what you get. The skill and finesse of Bura distilled. An heirloom.
