The Dhar wooden handle Knives had arrived here in a recent
shipment. According to shop manager and Kumar, the
wooden handle is a light color Dhar wood that almost
looks like Neem.

My father, the manager and the Kamis said the Dhar wood
comes in different colors, light red, light yellow and off-white
with a natural grain.

I will have to make room for an incoming shipment, so I am
offering these beautiful knives for your collection at near cost.

Get them while they are here. They might not be available after
this shipment.

Simply stunning! I love the look of the lighter wood. It will really "shine" once some BLO and wet/dry sandpaper hits it. I bet these wont last a couple hours before they are gone. White metal has a certain utilitarian allure to me. So far my favorite khuk is my 17.5in 22oz Dui Chirra by Thamar which also has white metal fittings. BTW Thamar has quickly become my favorite kami, it took me a little while but his stuff is always in my hands whilst watch TV.

#3 looks to be amazing once the wood is done, that swirly grain will pop. Although #1 looks the "cleanest" and the karda and chakma look to be a bit larger as well... Ok I change my vote #1 is the pick of the litter.

Nice offerings and the price can't be beat.

My vote is for #3, but alas, I am still toothless. Once the teeth grow back in, watch out! GROWL....

OOoooooo! That handle on no. 3 is trippppy! I know ive seen that design back in the mid seventies somewhere? Dang CRS. Artful carvings:thumbup:

#3 is my choice. Wish I was rolling in dough like Bookie has a plan for. Hasn't happened yet but any minute now, I can feel it in my cells.

I like those suns at the angle of the spine. Those little rays of sunshine make me think of Bawanna! I believe #2 has the best grain in the handle for longevity.

Yup # 2 with the straight grain should be very strong and last a long time.

I laugh at some of the axe and sledge handles some people buy at the local hardware store.

Some I know are gonna bust the very first swing.

In the immortal words of Pale Rider.....nothing like a good piece of hickory.

No. 2's tang goes in cross grain. Less chance of splitting under pressure. The other two handles are 90 degrees or so off. When I pin tips on ramrods, I have to pin cross grain or the tip won't last long at all under use.

Ems for #2, perfect match to my klvuk, almost exactly the same but completely opposite :) and after seeing dmcintyrelees post about twin knives...well maybe i jus wanna be part of the club. :)
