I was just over in the G,B,&,U forum and ran across this This may be page 2, but I think scum like this oughta be strung up and not by the neck either and then skinned alive!!!! :grumpy:
There's a lot of other good guys besides Uncle Bill. To bad such crap has to happen to them!!!!:grumpy: :(

You know, it never occurred to me that any of the members saying they were deploying might be con artists. I trust all the regulars here, and anyone who Uncle Bill vouches for. Young and naive, I guess (at 51).

What comes around goes around.

That karma stuff is going to bite this guy in the balls ...and maybe so will those knives (A buffer can be a dangerous thing).

I am a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Navy, stationed on the North Saskatchewan river in western Canada.

As soon as the river thaws, we will leave our igloos, mount our horses, board our riverboat and ship out to Iraq to fight alongside our allies.

The Canadian Military, as most know, is well-intentioned but underfunded. In order for us to have one change of underwear and socks each, we were forced to go with rimfire rifles, and sadly without knives.

So I am appealing to the generousity that I know is present in everyone on this forum to outfit me and, uh, my 'unit', with HI khukuris, Sebenzas, defensive Spydercos and other implements. Almost any high-end factory or hand-made knife will do. Remember that this, in my opinion, is a very worthy cause.

I thank all of you in advance for your generosity. Know that your sacrifice is much appreciated, and will surely give me and my 'unit' great joy.

Sincerely,
Phil

These kind of vermin don't consider it stealing. They're just playing the suckers.

Sad, but that's part of the world we live in. :(

You have no need for additional assistance, you have
Dudley Do-right!!!!

http://www.toonopedia.com/dudley.htm

(besides, you are in danger of throwing off the location of the magnetic North Pole with your accumulation of Khuks.)

(edit to add:Did you know that Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons were once banned from Canada?
It seems the Canadian authorities felt that the portrayal of Dudley Do-Right would somehow
undermine the authority of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.)

Hey Rocky! Watch me pull a 26" sirupati out of my hat! :)

The fact that Nell picked the horse just goes to show that nice guys finish last. That or maybe Dudley was a little too flamboyant...

Oh yeah, set your NEW declination to 25.8 degrees.:D

EDIT to add:

No way! Wow are we ever a sensitive nation! Silly Canadian authorities banning cartoons... No wonder we laugh at our government.

Lying punk ought to have them knives he stole shoved right up his ***. I've seen too many guys claiming to be veterans, who never served a day. I'd like to herd 'em all up and take 'em for a little ride, if y'all know what I'm saying.:grumpy:

Yea, just ask Bill Herndon!

What happened to Bill Herndon?

.. ...

It is hard to believe someone could be so low down as to call himself in the Service when he is not. Add theft to that, and you have what Uncle once referred to as low life scum.

A buffer threw a blade he was working on and it stuck into him in the worst place possible!

He lucked out and nothing important was damaged, but he's got blade catchers on all his buffing wheels now!

Bill Herndon ripped some people off?

I knew a Fred Herndon from Rialto.

I notice Mr. Roos is from Hesperia. 20 miles further down the freeway used to be a great place to shoot and wander.

Nah, I doubt that. ;)

Bill is a top notch guy! :D

There are many places out here in the desert great for wandering. Maybe fewer places these days for shooting, but I'm sure if you go far enough out, there won't be a single soul to bother you.

The world is full of scumbags like this. I just read about some outfit who collected millions for disabled Nam vets and kept 85% of the money for themselves.

I know karma will take care of this but I can't help being very disgusted and pissed off.

I'll have to check in on that Vietnam scam- someone called me from the Montana vets association and was very shocked someonelse already had ....

Mr. Roos, if you take the Freeway past Barstow as if you were driving to Newbury Springs, there is a last exit before Newbury that dead ends to desert. The road is long gone by now, but you can follow the old tracks in. This is very near munk's secret box canyon....

There is a cave-opening in a cliff, that probably has been a camp site for a long time. I always wanted to dig in there...

Somewhere in this general area is the supply station from the Calvary. As you might imagine- there is a rumor of buried weapons and supplies wrapped in waxed canvas.

Yvsa,
I agree 100%! These kind of people make my blood boil!

Sarge,
If you ever need a hand rounding these scumbags up let me know. I've also got some friends in the Legion that did some "over the fence" stuff in Nam. I'm sure they'd like to come along too.

Sounds like an interesting place to camp. I'll have to head out there sometime.

Digging deeper and deeper into patheticism.

I'm sure this person wanted all of these cool, bad@ss knives, because that's what the cool, bad@sses carry. I wonder if he even realizes that his conduct just makes him that much less like those people he is trying to emulate.

Edited to turn 'woder' into 'wonder'
Maybe I should start using that post preview feature
