Spent most of yesterday morning and all of this evening cleaning up an overgrown mulberry tree, and hacking up lots of dried palm fronds. Getting the angle right on the mulberry is key...at just the right angle you can go through it in a few chops. I wound up with a 2-finger+thumb grip for maximum swinging power. With the Resiprene 'beak' and and the lanyard securing my grip this thing was really moving fast.

No damage at all, lots of coating smoothing and only a tiny bit of coating wear away from the edge. A few runs across my crock stick and a few swipes on the strop and it shaves hair again...albeit grudgingly. I still need to learn how to sharpen well.

Sorry for the crappy cellphone pics. You get the idea, though.

I know the feeling man, it was the same with me when I tore into mulberries in the yard with my new Battle Rat back when they first came out. The Busse family of products truly proved themselves to me in the using. Don't mind Bravado, he's allergic. :D
