Hi, I just read Fredric Forsyth’s, THE DOGS OF WAR, and the character Langarotti was a knife man. Ive been trying to think of what design the knife was, but It never really went into description of it beyond that it had a 6in blade and a bone handle. The guy was a Corsican who was fighting with a knife all his life, so I assumed the knife was of Corsican design, but when I looked up some Corsican knives, my search seemed to be limited to a small Shepard’s folder, and something called a "vendetta" which doesn’t look quite as menacing as the name implied. I was curious if anyone else had any thoughts of what kind of knife this might have been.
thanks!

It's a work of fiction, so...
In any event, it did not strike me as an ideal throwing knife.
