I'm really liking the new Domino. It's thin in the pocket and it flips like a flipper should. It's smooth, sharp and comfortable in hand as well as in pocket. In short, the Domino is a winner!!

Here is mine all decked out in Spyderco frills. :D

That is a nice looker for sure, congrats!

If it's not too much trouble, can you post a comparison pic of your Domino next to a Delica or Para or something of the like?

Thanks!

Yes sir I just got mine on Tuesday man is this thing smooth buttery silkiness it will not get wet if rained on .. I didn't really like the looks of the southered because it didn't look like a Spyderco knife. Problem solved and much more

Not the OP, but here is a comparison shot with a Chaparral, Sage, Domino, Para2, Manix, and Southard:

In terms of size, the Domino seems to be in the upper-middle end of Spyderco's knives. It's easily one of my favorite Spyderco knives.

Thats the sweet spot I am looking for, a hair smaller than the pm2 and larger than the sage. Got to pick one of these up soon.

How's the thickness? If anyone can post next to a delica/Caly 3.5 that'd be awesome. Torn between picking up one of these or a Caly 3.5. Delica's are my favorite, but want something a little "classier". The weight doesn't seem too bad, but that's the reason I sold off the ZT 300. Too bulky, and what I'm afraid of with the Domino. OP, you say thin in the pocket, but how's it compare to others from the Spyderco lineup?

Sorry for the quality, poor lighting, but here is the Domino and Caly 3.5 CF ZDP.

It's all I've carried since receiving mine! I prefer the domino over the southard because while the flipping action is great, it feels totally natural to open using the hole like any other spyderco.

Thanks, Kustomized! Just the pic I was looking for. While obviously thicker than the Caly 3.5, it does not look overly obtrusive for pocket carry. The extra oz over the caly and 1.5oz over Delicawill probably be felt, but I usually carry up to 5 oz no problem. The main concern was the thickness, as I don't like overly thick profiles. Thanks to you guys, I just ordered one so it should be right behind my Chaparral Ti next week. I really like flippers, and the CF put me in some sort of trance to pull out the CC and purchase. Here's to hoping this one's a keeper.

I'm loving my Domino as well. I think it's my favorite Spyderco to date. It's amazing how the first flippers Spyderco makes are perfect. I've never had a Kershaw or ZT flip as good.
I was never a big "flipper" fan but this knife has changed that. I can't criticize it at all. Perfect knife.

Oh man, why did this have to come out right when I decided I want a Spydie Soutard too. Looks like these flippers will be sapping my wallet!

The Domino does flip just about perfectly, but you should try some more Kai products--the 0801 flips incredibly well also, for example.

Had mine for a few weeks now been carrying it every day, It's now my favorite EDC.

Quick question, not trying to make the "knives aren't defensive tools unless you are Van Damme".. does the blade shape in hand give you confidence in a serious situation that may arise? eg PPT or Yo2.

A blade shape's confidence factor goes hand in hand with your training. Now, if you're talking about intimidation factor Yojimbo 2 is pretty sick.

"In a serious situation" you run, hide or fight, in that order, assuming you can't evade the situation to begin with.

Thanks for that, "that" being exactly what I said I was trying to not get into. Width, thickness, blade shape, and pivot.

Yojimbo 2 has a thicker blade while being an excellent cutter. You can tell it was made with self-defense in mind. Domino is quite a capable one as well. Both are around a 3" blade length. Both have very strong locks. If I had to choose between Domino and Yojimbo 2 for self-defense undoubtedly it'd be Yojimbo 2. If I had just the Domino on me I'd feel pretty confident as well.

I can include side by side pictures of Domino and Yojimbo 2.

Thanks. Appreciate it. I have the Yo2, but it is way too unsheep friendly. I wanted something a bit more subtle, that was smooth, that I could use for edc and be confident in in "worst case" scenarios.
