I've been testing and using the DPX Gear HEST 2.0 folder for a while. I like the knife a lot. There are a few things about the design and materials that I would change but overall I think it was well thought out and executed.

I really liked your no non-sense approach to the review of the Hest 2.0. I have recently aquired my own and it has not left my pocket since I got it. Not much to say other than alot of knife for the money. Thanks for sharing and I agree 100 percent with your review.

As usual..a great and well thought out and "to the point review". I was trying to decide between this folder and a zt0550... I still cant decide so as the Becker wisdom goes, I may get both..i'll just order the 2.0 first !

The ZT stuff is very well done. My favorite of their line has been the 0200, although I haven't used the newest one all that much.

I like the Hest 2.0. I have had it for a while. It has a great feel in the hand. Unfortunately, I haven't really put it through the paces in the field yet.

I watched with interest your review. I also purchased 2 of these knives and I completely agree with your comments and conclusions. Great knife for the money.

Thanks for posting.

Could not agree more with your review...and it's nice to hear the thoughts from a person that has actually used their blade. I appreciate your candor and I agree... It's an excellent value and a great knife. I love mine and they did a great job with that D2. Well done review!

Thanks for the review, I have been wondering how the newer 2.0s would do. I have an original that I have carried for over a year without any issues. I have batonned a little wood with mine just to see how it handled it, but much smaller pieces than the one you were working with. I only split like 1 to 1.25 inch stuff for fire starting. I've used the wire strippers a few times and the bottle opener quite a bit since I have it handy. Pretty sure the bottle opener is only there because it was a feature of the original fixed blade. If I remember right the rapid deployment aspect was learned after the fact, and I happen to like how that works that too.

Thanks for the review.

I have a original version that I stuck in my pocket right after I got it and I've never had any problem with it.

May have to get a 2.0 too, just for the heck of it.
