i know i know, the g-10 dragonfly just came out. but i need to wait for the new frn model because the g-10 version is too expensive and i dont think i could stand having a molded clip like the current frn version has.
and because i am so anxious, i would really appreciate a quick estimate when the new frn version will come out.
this will be my first spyderco and i can hardly wait. (i know it wont be for quite a while)

Probably wont be until after March 2010, Sal and crew just asked for input on it so it will be a while, I presume.
 
It's going to be a while. You may as well buy a knife now and the D'fly 2 later.
 
I'm in the same boat, I just wanted a Dragonfly with a wire clip. Now they say they're adding some other perks to improve on the design, I'm pre-ordering it the second it pops up somewhere. That being said, I'm guessing late 2010 at the earliest with the tooling and machine work that would have to be done, plus quality control of the first line.
