It would appear I'm getting better with the Sharpmaker. After a sharpening session I gave my DF2 a quick rinse and wipe down. On one wipe the blade cut through the wadded up paper towel and got my right index finger. It's a fairly small cut but it's one of those shallow angle bastards right across the pad. The kind that stops bleeding easy enough but takes forever to heal.

Is it normal for cuts like this to not hurt at all... at least for a split second until the mind registers that "Hey, dumb ass... you just cut yourself!"???

It's better to get cut with a sharp knife than a dull one because in my experience it never hurts it only bleeds a lot.

I feel you pain dude. I cut myself several times last week whittling a stick, and now I keep rubbing them open when I stick my hands in my pockets. It's driving me crazy.

That has been my experience when cut by a very sharp knife. Kind of crazy. My recommendation is to clean the cut and then apply pressure for a few minutes. Apply Neosporin or a triple antibiotic and band-aid. Do this for a day or two and the cut should heal quickly. I have noticed that the cuts by sharp blades tend to heal a lot faster.
