The Duke?

I bought two new ones late last year from the Buck Factory, The Duke is a great knife, the drop point is awesome.

They do currently make them but they are not on Buck's website. You would either have to call Buck or get one from an auction site.

The Buck Factory Store, in Post Falls where the American made knives are produced, was practically giving them away to BCCI members. What a great time and terrific memories now. I had dinner with the capable manager of the store and she is terrific. The first night of the 25th BCCI party had BCCI members dining with Buck employees (an excellent idea). She beat the bushes for stuff I didn't see in the display cases. I've never felt more welcome or at home at a manufacturer before.

Has anyone heard if the Duke will make it into the Custom Shoppe offerings with its 500 series siblings?

No but I hope so and have said it many times. I think Buck is afraid of the huge amounts of money they will make if they did it.

Well, Buck has used that model many times for the collectors. With special handles and blade steel. I really like mine. DM

Mine is a 2013 knife, and it is so tight the blade doesn't snap shut under its own power. But on the other hand it is bank-vault solid and a sweet knife. I forget what I paid for it but it was definitely worth it. I like it better than the 110.

I bought a Duke back in the 80's. It had the burgundy micarta scales. I gave it to one of my sons. He somehow lost it but recovered it years later. It was badly scratched up and the tip of the blade was broken off. Later, as an adult, he sent it back to Buck to be refurbished. They installed a NEW blade and polished out most of the scratches. It looks almost new. Buck did this for $5.00! The five dollars was to cover postage; the repair was FREE!
P.S. After all that, he gave the knife back to me. I treasure it.
