I ordered my newest piece of infi good goodness last week off of the exchange here, got it in yesterday morning. When I went home for lunch I gave it a good coating of citristrip and let it sit. When I got home the coating slipped right off to reveal a very very clean blade beneath. About an hour with sand paper and a few minutes on the worksharp and this stripper was cleaned up, sharp as a razor and ready to go to work...welcome my newest infi, the (s)DSSF with a Buy Brown sheath, feel free to share your DSSF or easy strippers!

Looks great, good job!

Thats... Well... Aren't ALL stripoers... Ah. You get the idea. ;)

Looking good there. I may have to visit that model blade eventually.

What's the spine thickness and length on that bad blade?

Timmy the blade length is just a touch over 8" I'll have to mic the spine though. It is one of the thinner busses though I'd guess .2 or so

Sorry wrong thread, I was expecting something else. Carry on..

The DSF is the one Busse I blade I haven't gotten my hands on yet that I think I will have to try...Although...it would be even MORE awesome if they made it double edged and gave it a handle of the same size but in the profile of the Team Gemini...wow. I wish the Custom Shop had blanks for it:(

My HOG Edition ASH1 was a nice surprise. The stripper went on, the coating came off, and it was Double Cut underneath. No sanding required or anything.

 Very fortunate, easy strippers are where it's at. Is there any way to tell what lies beneath? I've stripped two so far and decarb was waiting for me beneath the coating--what infi comes decarb free yet coated?

Probably cancelled DC orders or blanks that got the DC treatment but never got usedCA.

Usually saber ground blades are pretty clean. My former tankbuster and ASHBM were VERY CLEAN, although still needed a bit of IPA and sanding love.

Very cool John, you definitely hit the jackpot there!

I don't think there is anyway to tell for certain but I have stripped 4 Busses in the following order of ease... The easiest was the DSSF above, stripped right off to a clean piece of infi below, the second was an AMS and I attribute it to the full flat grind smoothing the blade up very nicely, third was the Hell Razor, the saber ground blade was clean and easy to polish up but around the ends of the handle slabs its scalloped like johns ASH1 and those areas were tough, lastly my TGLB was a royal PITA, the hollow grind had a lot of artifacts in it and that took A LOT of sanding, the fuller was also a pain, there are still a couple spots on it that need a little more work but I decided to use them off a little before sanding anymore. I plan to buy a blasting box to make this process easier because I strip all my blades.
