I'm super excited to be involved in this project that my good pal Ryan Weeks got going a couple of days ago.

If you want to find out more, visit the facebook page that Ryan set up here.

This drawing is my small contribution to the project;

If you are already involved in this project, please use this thread to post pictures and links of your efforts :):thumbup:

This is good to see! Thanks for posting this Lorien. Don't forget that there is another Edge Out Project by Brian Goode and everyone should follow that one as well on Facebook.

That looks awesome.... really nice design. Only thing I'm not sure about is the pink G-10... is this a breast cancer initiative?

this is a pretty new initiative, so I apologize for not providing more info. At any rate, the pink is as you guessed; representative of the pink ribbon which is a symbol for the stand against breast cancer.

Anyway, here's what Edge Out's about, (from the facebook page);

Why We Formed "Edge Out Project" Relay Team:

Almost all of us have been touched by cancer in some way, so we've decided to make a difference by walking and raising money in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life event. Brian Goode a fellow knife maker from North Carolina and some friends of his started the Project

At the event, our team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society in the world's largest fight against cancer.

Our team is taking action to help finish the fight. Please join our team or make a donation because saving lives from cancer starts with one team, one participant, and one dollar at a time. Here is the EDGE OUT twist... For Every $5 you donate you will be entered into the raffle where donated prizes will be given to the lucky winners!

that's awesome, Joe! Thanks for supporting Ryan's team:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

That's great to see this time of year--anytime, for that matter. Good job, Lorien, and congratulations to Ryan and all concerned on this project.

thanks for the good words, Will!

Lorien, Thanks for starting this thread and for the generous donation of your fantastic design! Joe thank you for putting your money where your mouth is :thumbup:

As stated earlier... Brian Goode and some friends had someone very close to them pass from cancer so they decided to start an American Cancer Society - Relay for Life Team Named "Edge Out Project". As the name implies there is a twist, knife makers and other individuals donate knives or Knife related items to be entered into a raffle. For every $5 donated you get a chance to win one of the donated Items. All donations are made directly to the American Cancer Society through the Team Donation page (See Below).

I located Brian's facebook page and contacted him inquiring if I could help or donate a knife. One thing lead to another and I started the first branch on the Edge Out program Tree. As Brian stated "It doesn't matter how it gets there just as long as we get it there"

Brian's Edge Out Program: Donation Page / Facebook Page (Raffle will be held in May 2014)

Ryan's Edge Out Program: Donation Page / Facebook Page (Raffle will be held in June 2014)

If you are able donate a few bucks to either Edge Out Team please do so, it goes to a great cause and you get a chance to win some sharp metal objects! If you are unable to donate stop by and "LIKE" the pages and help spread the word.

Come on everybody

This is for a great cause and these boys are one of us

Everyone can afford to throw a few bucks here at X Mas time for something so worth while

Joe is right!
By donating you not only help a great cause but you will get a chance to win a knife by a great maker.:D
Everyone can spare $5.
I'm in for 10 chances.
Merry Christmas.

-Eric
