My 2nd Scott Cook Lochsa folder. This one has a few upgrades making it a true gentleman's knife.

1) S90V vs S30V steel

2) Double thumb studs vs single

3) 18K gold thumb studs vs stainless steel

Scott opened up Lochsa ordering for a single day almost 2 years ago. Myself and Ken Lunde were both able to place an order.

It's been almost 3 years and will be as of Oct. 1st. :)
I was also lucky enough to catch the notice and submit my request in the 17 some odd hours he opened the books before an overwhelming response caused him to have to close them again.

Yours looks beautiful! That's almost exactly what I requested, with the exception of the gold lugs. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one when my name comes up in the list. Good to hear that he's working on the new orders from that day now... I've been trying to resist bugging him for an update recently as I know how busy he is.

I love it, but how can you use a folder that you have to wait 3 yrs for and can not replace. I'm not even sure that I could bring myself to sharpen it. I have a few William Henys and I find my self instinctively walking across the house and grabbing one of my users from a drawer rather messing with the expensive folder in my pocket. Once I realized how ridiculous this was, I started carrying spydercos and benchmades again. Don't get me wrong, I would still love to have that knife.

VERY nice.
When the Busse Folder comes on to the scene, it will be the King of folders.
Until then... sulk.

If Busse makes a folder I envision a Grayman Satu type beast.....something you can a hack a small tree down or a large human limb off with......

I just sold my lochsa on this forum a few days ago. I had to wait 7 years. Scott lost my order from 2006. I emailed him once a year since 2010 and he never responded until this year and he finally got me my knife. I can't bring myself to ever use it because of its value. Had to sell it and stick to using sebenzas and spydercos. I also thought of it this way, have a lochsa or sell it and get a Les Baer 1911. Easy choice for me, Les Baer wins.

Really amazing knife there, you were lucky to get in on the list. Would I carry one if I was ever lucky enough to own one? I'd like to think so, but man is it ever nice...
