This guy nailed it regarding one of my biggest pet peeve on a knife. A lot of knife makers can't get this important detail right.

I guess most knife folks have pet peeves about knife features and designs. Mine include assisted opening, uncoated metal handles, flexible pocket clips, deep carry clips, tip down only carry, thick handles, gaudy colors and overly wide profiles (among others). But the choil design really doesn't bother me.

This makes a lot of since. From now on when I buy my knives, I am going to keep this plunge grind issue in mind so I can avoid the freehand sharpening problems illustrated so deftly in the vid.
