The empty forums

I have noticed that several forums under Makers & Manufacturers are constantly devoid of threads. It has been so for some time now. I am just curious as what have happened to those people who used to post there.

Even the European Community forum has become relatively empty.
Have these chaps gone on holiday?

Maybe it is time to re-think some of the forums.

Does it cost anything to leave them there? I know some forums have been closed, like Cold Steel and Strider. A company might change its mind though and start putting out hotter products or someone more charismatic to run the forum.

I forum that I have often wondered why it is still around is the TiNives forum. No moderator has posted in that forum for well over a year and a half. There is no company involvement there at all.
