I just got my Endura FRN VG-10. Haven't sharpened yet. In fact, haven't even USED it yet. It's my "big" knife and I usually use the smaller one I carry.
BUT.....when I ...do.... use it, how well does it come up on a Sharpmaker? I have done my SE Delica many times and it is as sharp as it came new.
The Endura though, has a V edge grind rather than a wedge. How easy is it to sharpen on the SM?
Different technique? Or just go at it and hope?
The thing is so sharp out of the box that I almost can't imagine being able to restore such an edge.

Should probably add that on the Delica, I never go to the 40 degree final step. It seems sharper with the thinner edge.
May not last as long though. Maybe I'll try BOTH angles next time it needs a sharpening.
