Modified my post from the ESEE forums a bit, have a look.

And it's here. Fortunately I got a real knife with it too-

Kidding, it just bumped me over $99 for the free shipping :)

New coloring book!

Hello darlin. The first thing that jumped out to me was the scales. They're contoured? They're contoured very nicely? How could this be? At first blush they feel really comfortable.

Nice fit and finish all around.

Plenty sharp out of the box.

Had very little time before I need to get ready to head to work but it chewed through some pine and poplar quickfast. I was getting really thick curls but that's probably just a matter of getting used to the knife, I've had the same issue with other knives till I used them a bit.

Poor Gypsy. It's her 9th birthday and I'm the one getting the present.

Sandwiched between 3's and with a JG3 also for size comparison.

Set up to wet form while I'm off for the day. The logo didn't fare very well but that won't cause me too much heartburn.

Can't wait to put it to more use. Looks like a winner to me.

Bear in mind it was my own poor technique getting the thick curls. I've been playing with a FBF Bushfinger and Rodent Solution lately so I've gotten used to flatter grinds, I've gotten nearly translucent curls with a BHK Smoky Mountain Razor so it'll just take some readjustment. I forgot this was even coming in today so I didn't give myself any time at all to work with it, I just got excited when it showed up :)

I need to get a spine shot versus the others. It's the first out of the box ESEE I know of with such contoured scales. Total win in my book.

And I'm not totally kidding about that 4" paring knife. Victorinox makes some serious good stuff for the kitchen.

Cross posted also.
Some ox blood dye, neatsfoot oil, and Montana Pitch on the sheath.

Sandwiched between a couple 3's for comparison.

Less pressure and a narrower angle definitely thinned out the curls nicely.

The spine is plenty sharp enough to scrape up some fatwood dust.

And fire it up.

Cleaned up just fine.

And still takes off hair.
