You've probably seen these pics before but now the knife is mine mine mine. i'm having a good week. Vince was kind enough to allow this one to slip out of his hands in to mine. I love dog leg jacks and I am also a complete sucker for wharncliffe blades so it was near impossible for me to say no to this one. John Houser dog leg jack. ats-34...hand rubbed satin finish and some real nice bone.

The fantastic pictures are Vince's....I stole them purely to show off. :)

Great looking knife. I agree, the bone is sweet and I really like the long nail nick, grooved bolster and swedges.

I wish my week was going as well as yours....
I thought Christmas was next month lol ......

Outstanding! Great score, Mister Morrow. Excellent blade configuration, cool bolster, great jigging, a pooch head for a shield:D, it all comes together nicely.

That's it. He's hooked, reeled in and filleted.
Beautiful knife.

Sweet looking knife! congrats!!

Jason,
The bone on this knife is from a production knife company in Germany & is old.John told me probably near 70 or 80 years old I think this was one of the last sets he had where the coloring was close on both sides,as the sets were pre cut for a pattern,if you follow that
It would be very hard to find bone like this again, for a project
I know how you love Dog Legs,I'm glad you're getting this But one thing you will see, besides overall a fantastic custom handmade slipjoint,is how John gets the "walk n talk" on his knives The spring action "pops" open,he is quite good at what he does Bolsters & liners are milled one piece on this
Enjoy it my good friend,
-Vince

Yipes! That's a beefy, sharp looking knife. Are the liners and bolsters all one piece? I can't see a seam anywhere. Lovely.

Congrats! Looks like you're doing just fine with your addiction.

That's a real dandy, and I reckon' that dog'll hunt to boot! ;)

Gus or Blues, isn't there an "Addict of the Month Award" due here? :D

Ford, if there is, I'm sad to say that Jason doesn't quite yet rise to that level. However, I have faith in him and I'm sure we will all do what we can to nurture the disea...er, avocation. ;) :p

That's a BEAUTY! Thanks for sharing & congrats on a NICE GRAB from Vince!

That's a fine looking knife! Enjoy!

Oh for more knives with jigging like that, very, very nice looking knife.

OOOOOO, AAHHHHHHH. DAT NICE!

What a purdy thing!

Congrats!

Very nice knife, Jason--congratulations, and may you get much use out of it. Remember this moment when you hand the knife down to one of your children (hopefully).

The funny thing is that you have posted this like it is a culmination. I can tell you that it is probably only the beginning. Let us know what comes next.

Sweet score! I've got a thing for old dark jigged bone and those handles are very cool.
