I am a collector; and most of the Spanish knives, swords, and bayonets I come across were manufactured by the Fabrica Nacional de Toledo (National factory of Toledo). I have items in my collection dating back at least 150 years with their tang stamp. Judging from these examples, the National Factory of Toledo appears to have been (or is) a state operated armory, which has been in operation for at least 150 years and seems to have survived the Spanish civil war of 1936-39.
Has anyone come aross additional information on this well know and respected factory, in the center of one of the world's best known cutlery towns?
