What can I say? It's great!Too bad this model didn't receive the enthusiasm it deserved, because it excels both functionally and aesthetically. The grip isn't as chunky as many of the other HI big blades, making it much more manageable for a smaller guy like me. It's well balanced despite being heavy, and the contour of the hilt allows you to slip your grip and deliver a very powerful cut.
The carving on the scabbard, though, is what sets it apart; absolutely lovely. I didn't realize there would be carving on both sides, which was a very pleasant surprise! Personally, I'll never understand why anyone would prefer a plain version over one that's decorated, but hey, different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Anyway, I hope to have pix of it in the near future, as the old ones from the forum thread were lost in that Photopoint debacle.
The girlfriend drew the line at spending that much on one of my toys. The Falcata will always be on my wish list! Great to hear that one found a good home. 
(I only say that now because I'm single!
