So I was out back doing a little bit of what I like to call urban backyard bushcraft this weekend (cutting ivy off of my trees). And I was working on a paracord bracelet that needed a bead. So I already had a few knives out back. I decided to line up a few and snap some quick pictures.

I picked up the 11 just 3 short weeks ago and already added a 14, 7 and 17 to it. I used a bit of paracord to attach the 14 to my 7. The 7 did most of the ivy cutting and cut a branch off a magnolia for my bead. I used the 17 to clean up the branch, a SAK saw to cut the bead to size and the 14 to clean up the bark on it. I used the SAK awl to put the hole in the bead. It came out great but I gave it to a coworker before I thought to snap a picture.

Nice lineup. What's that other fixed blade in there with the green liners?

Yep. Its a Fletcher Operator 575. Length wise, it fills the gap between the 7 and 17 nicely. But its about 50% thicker than the 7. Its a heck of a blade.

very nice lineup. looks there's not too much you wouldn't be able to do with those.

Capbyrd, nice pictures. Thanks for sharing.

If you don't mind, How long is the Blade (tip to handle scales) on that Operator 575?

I'll have to measure when I get home to know for sure. I know Dylan says 5.75 inch blade but I'm not sure how he measures it.

I've noted the 575 and wondered if that was cutting edge or Tip to scales. Also when you measure, would you measure the thickness?

BTW You're pictures tempt me to get a BK14 and Orange scales for it. I have a BK11 that sees occasional use, mostly rides as a back up knife. The BK14 + Scales might be nicer. ??

Oh man that operator 575 is sweet, I need something like that...Reminds me of a BK-17 on steroids.

10.875" OAL, 5.6875" from tip to grip. 3/16ths thick at the spine. Grips are just under a full inch in width.
