I want to say hello to everyone here and sure am glad I found this forum. To say I like SAK's is a understatment. I sometimes think I have to many, but kinda like to collect them when I can afford them. Since I am a farmer, I thought why not get a farmer SAK. It had all the features that I like. I bought one and thought this is the KNIFE, untill I started using it. The dam laynard ring would dig into your hand while you were cutting something. I had a friend that had a machine shop cut it off but then sold the knife. Anyone else notice this? I cannot see why they could have not move it a little to the end of the knife. I am thinking about getting another farmer and I guess get the ring cut off.

Welcome to the Swiss Bianco forum. Yes, some people find the ring attachment cutting into their hand in use. Unfortunately, the position of the attachment is where it is to allow the awl and bottle opener to open. If you do not need the saw, the alox Soldier does not have a keyring and would work for you.

Exactly why I prefer the Soldier to the Pioneer. I keep thinking about grinding the key ring off my Farmers....
