My father has always indulged my knife modifications including some early blade delete attempts. He has helped on several of my latest projects including

the 15 bail and chain mod

My Grandfather's knife. He was a Veteran of the Spanish American War. He purposely snapped the blade off to use it as a pipe bowl scraper. I can remember sitting on his front porch in Wilmington, NC watching him fidget with his pipe scraping the bowl with the broken blade and then tamping his tobacco down with the bolster.

I always enjoy seeing your grandfather's knife Jack. So contrary carrying a bunny knife when most Sheffielders of the time would have carried a lambsfoot.
Thanks Christian, he was a contrary character all round! :D He did carry Lambsfoot knives, and he gave me my first one, but the Bunny was his last knife. He read a lot of Cowboy books, so maybe he thought of it as a mini Bowie :D ;)

Very cool that you have that Ed :) I think that practice was not uncommon with pipe-smokers at one time

Keep it traditional please. Title edited to reflect/reinforce that.
