Hello BF friends!
I would like to share some pictures of my new handmade knife, made by my friend knifemaker David Serrat.
He got some inspiration from the TV series "The walking Dead", so the knife is meant as a fighter/utility. The blade is made of 45cr4 carbon steel, 5mm thick and 200mm long. The handle is light brown micarta.
I like the color combination with the matte grey blade as a result of the acid treatment. The color change on the blade near the ricasso marks the differential tempering
It's a very strong knife, David pays special attention to tip strength
It feels well balanced and not heavy at all in the hand, though it's not a small knife
I'm very happy with my FD1, I hope you like it too, thanks for watching!!
greetings from Catalonia
