Hey guys,

I hope this is the right place to post this as I don't have a subforum of my own yet. Mods please feel free to move or delete.

I'm finally comfortable enough with my quality control and logistics to open up an order list for the Fell Beast machetes. I only have a few of these left from this run and they will never be offered at this price again.

What is a Fell Beast you ask?

The Fell Beast is a new hybrid breed of machete that I've developed specifically for use in hardwood forests where extreme durability is required and failure is not an option. It is a heavier, more powerful machete designed for everything from clearing blackberries to felling hardwood trees. They are extremely tough, fast in hand, and with proper technique, will out chop any tool in its weight class. Made from 52100 steel with a spring tempered spine and 58RC edge, these will hold up to extreme use where other machetes chip, roll, or suffer catastrophic failure.

I offer these blades in two thicknesses, .108 and .135, and in two styles, plain, and ring choil.

The Fell Beast comes with a Kydex sheath and lifetime warranty against breakage and damage. If you break it, I will get you a new one and pay your shipping both ways.

Here are the specs.

Steel- 52100 with spring tempered spine and 57-58 RC edge
Length- 23.5in overall

Blade height- 2.45 in

Here are some test pics to demonstrate toughness!

Can take nearly a 90 degree bend and come back true with ease.

Congrats on the new batch, they are looking good.
We are definitely talking about some serious chopping power. I could not be any more pleased with the one I received from the first run.
I'm loving that handle design and the sheath is killer.
After a few good beatings with no damage I thinned the edge down quite a bit and its holding up fine. Its comforting when you know that your tool will not let you down.

So glad to hear your machete is treating you well!
As for edge thickness- I'm always amazed at how thin 52100 can go and still take a beating. I usually leave these at about .035 at the edge with a 20 degree per side bevel to make sure they can hold up to abuse but they can go much thinner without a problem.

You nailed it on the edge, its like the perfect balance between performance and durability.
I took it down as a little test, just to see what it could take. If I ever have any problems I'll go a little steeper on the next sharpening.

Hi Hunter, if one of the: .135 (heavier, more chopping power, almost a short sword) plain 2's is available, I will take it. Sending PM now. Thank you. Mike

I will take one of the ".108 blades (lighter, faster, more like a traditional machete)" with the ring choil and a horse mat handle. PM to follow.

Tony

I have 3 blades pending but other than that it looks like these are SOLD OUT.

Thanks so much to everyone who made a purchase! These will all be shipped by the end of the month. Looking forward to everyones feedback. This is my favorite model I've made yet and they are an absolute blast to use!

I'm a long time lurker but I just couldn't pass on this blade. I've been looking for a blade that I can use clearing shooting lanes for my deer stands as well as bushwhacking in SE Asia. The Fell Beast certainly fits the bill. Just put in my order and can't wait to get it.

Let me know if anyone backs out of a thin ring choil... These things call to me like no machete I've ever seen before
