Anyone know how many knives were made featuring the Fiddle stamp?

What was its significance?

Will there ever be another?

Pics welcome of course!

We have upgraded our marking ability and the mark is now etched deeply in the steel. Also, I had a special mark made that will go on a knife here and there.

i only recall 2 ....maybe

I can only remember one, it was on an arete I think. I wish we'd see more of them!

So far only two out of over 4000 knives have the Violyn stamp.

Its done after HT. Once the knife is all done actually. Its just so nerve wrecking to do the mark. It'll stay rare because of that.

Andy may not want me posting this photo for one very specific reason... but here's the first violin Andy did—this is a way to document Andy's work. This knife is the pride of my collection. This is a Duke with exquisite redwood burl scales. As far as the violin goes, I'm in marketing and do design as well. This may not be the greatest design ever, but it's a special mark rarely bestowed and therefore has tremendous value. I think it's a neat little piece of Fiddleback insider's mythology -let's call it "fidology"- that the serious Fiddleback fans are aware of. Here's photographic proof that there are two of these out in the world.
