On account of my latest purchase, the BC Karda, which I'm completely smitten with, I've done some digging on the Kephart. The blade shapes are very similar between the two, as well as the Bear Paw and Cub designs. I'm still learning a whole lot about Fiddleback Forge and Andy and his team. As I continue to obsess over this brand, I find myself drawn to very particular models – the Kephart is one of them. However, as much as I've been drawn to this style of knife, I don't see much chatter about them recently on the sub-forum. I know that designs come and go, but is Andy's Kephart on the outs, or is it still a relevant knife? Wait, it still has to be somewhat relevant, right? I mean, FF chose it as one of the models for its production line. So then, who still wondrously wields one whilst wandering in the woods?

Wondering,
Mike

It's an awesome knife... I think a lot of people use them or would choose it as their Marooned on island knife

I have both a production and custom kephart and they're both great choices for a Fiddleback.

I'm a fan of Andy's Kephart design... I've got a Custom Shop version of the (mid-tech) in s35vn.

Andy's Kephart is one of the profiles I've always been drawn to (I too love the Kardas and see the similarities to the Kephart in them) but I've never owned one.

I bought a Production Kephart from the second run, & liked it so much I bought another.

The Kephart is never going to be an model we aren't making. Its a great knife. I usually don't just throw out designs. Welcome aboard. Try the Kephart. Its one of my favorites to make.
