A couple of weeks before this years Blade Show, I posted a thread on the finest Fisk bowie I had seen. You might remember me saying, "it has these tiny little ---- all over it."

Well, the ----, are ants and spiders carved into the ivory. The ivory itself is an artifact, it has the slot in the end where it was tied to an oossic and used as a war club. Jerry really didn't like the way it feels, but considering the kind of piece it is, he wanted to leave it as natural as possible. The ants and spiders, being relief carved, are wrapped in gold foil. The result is utterly amazing. You can even see the joints of their legs.

This knife is in September's issue of Knife World and on his web site
www.fisk-knives.com. ENJOY!

That is one outstanding piece of art. Amazing workmanship in that handle. I prefer Jerry's user knives, but this one certainly does show that he can do it all.

Is that all Fisk's work or did he collaborate with Jim Kelso?

It does kinda look like Kelso's work on that handle.

I saw this piece and have to say that amazing is too shy a word to describe it. Too bad I sent all the pics we took to the magazene I write for, otherwise I would post them here.
I also though it was Jim Kelso's work bu Jerry told me it was an English artisan whose name I can't recall at this moment.
But let's not forget the fantastic dagger he had at the Blade Show, whose handle and sheath were made by Zaza Revishvili.
