Looks good. Definitely a very interesting-looking tool, and in the long run it's going to be easier to shorten a handle (especially a 'straight' with no swell) than it is to lengthen. I presume you did your homework on this because I'd have instinctively hung it the other way around.
Best response is to get out there and use it!
