There's been a series running on the A&E channel called the First 48 and I wondered if anyone has seen this one? The show follows various homicide bureaus around the country and details what they do to solve a case. Our own Memphis Homicide Bureau has been featured several times now and I've worked with many of those Detectives. Just wondered if y'all watched the crime shows and what folks thought................

p.s. And they've been very busy.......we're running over 70 murders right now.........could be a record year.

Thanks for the reply Normark.

I think this is one of the better productions that's come out of the stuff they've taped here recently. Those guys/gals put a lot more work into cases than I believe most people realize and rarely if ever get any recognition. Their solve rate is very good.

Some cases may seem simple at the outset when they're reported in the news, but things start getting complicated quickly when you have to get someone in custody safely, gather witnesses and evidence and then go to trial six months or a year or more later to get a conviction. Little more to it than meets the eye.
