Just realized doing inventory the first dozen are in the bag with the arrival of the HOGB8 this week. July marks 1 year anniversary receiving my very first, I really didn't know I had so many. 1 or 2 more and that should do it :D ... Censored for future disclosure First Dozen censored.jpg

Regarding those scales..
If you at any moment feel like you've ruined them, I will (at no extra cost) take those blades off your hands and provide them a new caring home.
Just want you to know that I'm here for you.

Great collection you have going there :-)

The First couple dozen are EASY....it's when you are putting together a Collection of one model with all the variants and colors then the Grail Challenge or Quest becomes more difficult... You're off to a Promising start:cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Nice collection start Leonardo. There was a time when I would thought someone mad to spend $500 - $1,000 on ONE knife. I have been obtaining Bussekin; CRK and other brands for only four years now. Not sure of my current B’kin total, but a “regular Joe” would have marked my file INSANE a couple of years back. But we know better, eh? Enjoy the ride, all. We only get one in this life.

Much appreciation for the compliments and all the guidance along the way such as hog treachery especially in the generosity to help out a piglet as exhibited by Toad :D ~ No, my scales are in fine shape ;) I've done some feedback sampling, I'll be ok, it was a crap ass photo but the best I could pull off.

There's so many pictures that left impressions on me of you guys displaying these awesome spreads and constantly drooled over them so it was fun to give it a try and I'm pretty happy being able to cover up a few square inches with Busse steel.

tuica tuica , Yeah man, I hear ya. I think we've had some discussions about that in the past and you're right, I don't even think about it now the cost. Sure we all scrutinize it to some degree but understanding the value does take time. Take the FMV14 for example, today I can see that as a steal for what it is because of what it will become. A year ago I would've just shook my head thinking "these people are freaking crazy" LOLOLOLO!!!!

"1 or 2 more and that should do it." :D Sure it will......
What? you don't believe me? ... well I never :rolleyes::p

Thanks Leonardo, and good luck with your collecting. We quickly learn how to be smart knife buyers. I best go to the Exchange now and see what’s available. Don’t want to miss anything. Be well.

I'd say that the first 3 are the hardest!
After those there would be a flood/avalanche - as in at least one arriving every week for a while, until you realize that you have a dozen or so sets of 3-4 (or 5-6 including folders) knife sets to tackle any task that you might ever come across...
And you're not being able to decide if even one of those sets is redundant to your POTENTIAL needs...

Yes Will. Little leery of the durability of the Res C. Until I bought one. Now have several. And knife "needs?" That would have ended at three. And I have many more than that now.

Gotta say, Leo—with the exception of that nice HOGB8, I DO find your severe shortage of Res-C disturbing.:D
Gotta agree Will and if you remember I had lots of questions about the resC and was the particular reason I "almost" didn't order the Hog. I have to go back in time, where I was in my affections and really, the glitz and glamor of all those pretty and colorful handles sure has an allure. Today, I'd be hard pressed to fork out for the G10, just one of those learning curve deals. Like my DTBM, I love the colors of the orange on the black but actually using it? yeah I'd do it differently today after having canvas, I've found the G10 to be slippery and almost put one in my foot that I had just sharpened to stupid sharp, I was wearing flip flops after just getting out of the pool...damn close to Darwin award honorable mention that day. I have not forgotten that, scares the hell out of me still when I think of "what if" ....
