It's a bronze chef's knife. I cast the blade from an 18/82% tin/copper mix. It should have a brinell hardness of around 160, good enough for most kitchen work. It has a blue stabilized wood handle from some scales that I had laying around.

I know the rivet job is terrible, and the handle needs some work, but it was my first.....I also regret not casting it a bit thicker, but again it should be more than a match for anything in the kitchen.

I was basically trying out a smallish object before I moved onto trying to finish up and hilt some of the bronze swords that I have cast. I thought the mirror finish (you can see my fingers holding the camera reflected in the blade) was so remarkable I wanted to show it off.
