here are the first 2 knives i will show to the public. ive made many knives for family and friends, but these are the first im considering selling.

the first is a wharncliff blade in s30v. its 1/4 stock. its just under 8 inches in length. it is razor sharp as all knives should be. the scales are carbon fiber with red liners.

the second is a utility sheeps foot in O-1 steel hrc 59.5. oal is also around 8inches. orange g-10 scales.

i would greatly appreciate your input.

I like the point on the butt's, but was told that it was better to round them because of comfort issues in the sheath. I kept the point on mine.

The orange handled knife, depending on the depth of the finger grooves, might get uncomfortable because of the ridges. Hard to tell in the photos.

721 post, and you are just now showing your knives? I think your others were worthy to post as well!

You, like me, could be our own worst critics! hahaha

The orange handles are pretty comfortable. Your right about the point. Should have considered that.

Peter the Wharncliffe looks like a very usable knife the way you have the handle shape and the jimping. I would round the butt also. Not sure that this little knife needs to be 1/4" stock, that may be overkill for the size and likely usage it will see. Grind a swage. Visual appeal and value go way up.

i thought it was too fat also, but i had the steel lying around and tried it out. the edge is still at a 20 degree bevel, so its real sharp. i have some bird & trout knives on the way....

I like the looks of these two Peter, particularly the sheep's foot.

The scale looks fantastic (I'm partial to orange knives.) and the finger choil and steep
thumbramp must give this one nice grip and control.

Looks comfortable.
