Unboxing a part at work that was double boxed. The internal box had 3 of those large 1/8" thick packing staples and to my dismay I was unaware, but the tanto tip was not.. and took some damage.

Have to ask, are you going to sharpen out or send it back to Japan or have a sharpener from the forums do the repair? Bummer

Gonna continue to use it!

The chips still slice paper hahaha albeit an interupted cut.

I see! Sorry for the confusion. But kudos to you for actually using your Rockstead. While I've been fortunate enough to avoid chipping mine yet, it has seen a good amount of action breaking down boxes. They are fantastic knives. (Silver lining: you now have a rare SERRATED Shin!)
