Check out the cornacopia of Sebenza's at www.TrueNorthKnives.com. I would have loved to pick up one of the new large Classic's with bark and Damascus, but it just wasn't in my budget. I did however pick up kind of a cool one. I've been wanting an EDC large regular Seb for some time now, and Damascus is a must to me in a Sebenza. This one should fit the bill! Looking forward to summertime campfire whittling.
Yeah, this will be carried and used!

I know, they have a knife on that site that's been vexing me for a day or so now. I just sent an email asking about it. If someone else nabbed it, maybe that's the god's way of saying I should save my money. :D

ETA: BTW, that's one gorgeous unique graphic. Congrats on the nab!

Thanks Bulgron, sorry I stepped on your toes........not!
:D

KaBar2,

I don't like to discuss expenses or costs amounts on the forum, but you can see what the asking price was on the TNK website.

Well, I just pulled the trigger on a large sebbie with Mammoth Ivory Bark. Late night decision. I wonder if I'll regret it in the morning?

I blame you Blackend. I'd successfully put that knife out of my noggin' until you started this thread.

Whhhhhyyyyy... I oughta..... To the MOON, Blackend, TO THE MOON!

:D

Oh yeah, it's this one:

I haven't made a final decision yet, but I'm seriously considering sending the knife off to the factory to have that gold thumb lug replaced with a plain silver one. I'm sure it's just me, but I think the gold thumb lug just stands out like some kind of a big ol' pimple or something.

We'll see how I feel about it once I get the knife and have a chance to live with it a bit.

Now.... Where's my 3 lb steel mallet? I gotta make sure to test that sebbie out real good before I can rely on it you know! :D (After all, this folder IS going to be a user....)

No Chance you'll be regretting that Sebbie Bulgron. It's beautiful, nice score.

I'd give the 3lb hammer test a miss if i where you :D

Blackend, your knife is really nice, very unusual design

A very nice choice my friend, love the ivory. Think about the stud though, to me the bronze just goes with the ivory color. A plain one might not look as right as you think.
:)
Also very cool you will be carrying this new one, that's what these are made for. The mallet test.....Let's try and get Anne or Chris to demenstrate that one at the Blade Show. I know they can afford it!!

BTW: I have no problem going to the moon, just let me take my Seb.
:D

Yes, I know. Like I said, I'm going to live with the knife for a little while before making a final choice. Maybe the gold will grow on me.

Oh, so many smart-alec comments, so little time. I guess I'll just give it a rest, though. :D

Uh, no way, I'm keeping that new sebbie or yours by way of a transfer fee. :D

Both of those are VERY nice. I'd be scared to use them though.

It's odd that I'm not scared to use expensive knives. I guess I just expect tools with the reputation of these knives to stand up to whatever reasonable usage I might throw at them, so why not use them?

I guess a better question is, why buy a knife that you aren't going to use? I know some people collect these things and keep them as safe queens. But collecting is just not among my personality quirks, I guess.
