Received this morning from Charlie waynorth waynorth via Jean-Marc Âchillepattada Âchillepattada !
JM's forwarded parcel was bullet proof!
Inside, neatly packed 2 +1 +1gems! Charlie had let me understand that there would be something en route after the end/beginning of the year's fuss, but at first sight the parcel was not international. So this was a total surprise (double trouble, the postman rang when I was under the shower! 😀).
A wonderful white bone BF knife, accompanied by a John DF slip. A lovely ebony 14TC closed the march! 😻
But I was not done yet.
JM also added a Hungaro/Irish made big boy!

Outstanding present! Well done, that's a hat trick! A great thank you to both! 🤗

Congratulations Alain, wonderful mail-drop! :) Can you tell us something about the third knife please? 👍

The third knife was made by János Németh, a part time Hungarian cutler working in Ireland discovered by JM @Ächillepattada. (there's a thread: https://bladeforums.com/threads/jános-nemeth.1729546/#post-20048804)

The pattern is Rác (a synonym of Serb).
After they were defeated by the Turks, many Serbs fled to Hungary and established along the Danub (places whose name starts by Rác witness this. The Szentendre island near Budapest is one of those, where the famous Szankovics -a Serb name btw- cutler is established, and for long the language was Slavic rather than Magyar).

JN added his touch in using 2 rows of pins, and a drop point rather than the more usual spear.
Like the smaller brother (already a gift from JM!) there's a nice guillochage on the spring and the liners. Nicely done, fairly heavy but well balanced. Razor sharp.

That's fascinating Alain, thank you for the information my friend :) Nice maker's mark

Those videos are HILARIOUS! Great sense of humor. AND - but of course - your knives are simplement le meilleur!
Thank you, I agree, I am a lucky guy!

You can search for Jacques Tati's movies, they're quite no text and full of nonsense. This one is "Jour de fêtes", I saw it really dozen of times when movies were unexpensive and theaters your next door (a bank or a garage now!)

Hello friends , and the word is not fake :)🙏

As Alain already said it I have had the great pleasure to receive this treasure box from Charlie waynorth waynorth as a Christmas gift .
I have to say that these gifts are fantastic because they are but moreover because of the friend who sent them 🍻
