Hi Guys,
Got a traditionally gripped Foxy Folly from the gracious & courtious Yangdu (Thanks so much, Dear Lady) this past Saturday. Unlike what some other's have claimed to do, my opening of the famed triangular box resembled a Tazmanian Devil cartoon. Inside was an example of Bura's artistry with a very dark Satisal wood handle. Took it out today to do some chopping, brought down a couple 4" diameter maples with such ease that I assaulted a couple of 6 inchers. Up here when a maple gets that big around it's about 20 ft tall & starting to get that famous hardness. Well in about 2 minutes I had one down, limbed & bucked into 3 logs, 2nd one about the same. Wow! This was just the first outing, man what this thing will do when I get used to it!

Can't do pics yet. Extra $ keeps going toward ammo & more Khuks instead of digital cameras. However, OAL is 17", spine width is 5/16" distally tapering, most depth is 2 7/8", wood is dark purple w/ red & black streaks, brass fittings. Cross section of the handle is egg-shaped, small end down, I really like that. Don't have a way to weigh, but it feels lighter than it is.
Couldn't do any chopping today but I know now why those who have them love them so. An AK15" was my first real khuk & is still my favorite for generally knocking around in the woods but when the mission calls for serious chopping the Fox will get to go.

A lot of the guys here never got beyond comic books in college...they need pictures with the words...never mind them- it was a nifty little review and introduction to your blade. I'm glad you had a good experience.
