Their are some members of this forum who insist on their right to BULLY other members whenever they don't approve of the knives in question . We have moderators who seem quite capable of enforcing their policies . That's fine and good and should be respected .

However , other members should respect our right to talk about any knife we want and not use gang-up bully tactics to harass those whose knives don't measure up to their standards .

If a forum policy is violated , the proper procedure is to REPORT TO THE MODERATORS the violation . That's what they are for ! You should not take it upon yourself to saddle up your posse and indulge in vigilante "justice" . If your are not a mod , don't pretend to have enforcement powers or to dictate policy . It's none of your business what knives I choose , beyond normal civilized conversation .

This problem extends far beyond counterfeits and clones . It may involve a knife company that's not approved of . Or just because a knife is cheap . Bullying , shamming and shunning are never justified in a civilized environment and should NOT be tolerated on this "family forum " . What kind of example is set for our children ?

I do not ever really see that here, I am not at all saying it does not happen because it is the internet and we always have people that like to hide behind the screen and treat others poorly. But what I like most about this forum is that for the most part discussions seem to be fairly cordial, though some some topics due tend to generate some more heated discussions, I have never seen anything that I would consider bullying in the years I have been on here.

So, you want immunity to talk about companies that steal designs, infringe on patents, and otherwise clone, copy, and counterfeit the hard work put in by original designers and manufacturers? You don't want to see any sort of counter-argument when you support thieves that are harming the industry and our hobby? Is that the gist of your statement?
