It's going the be kinda hectic for me. I've got to get some shoping done for my daughters birthday. I hate buying for girls. Boys are easy. BB gun, Knife, snakes and snails and puppy dog tails.

Hopefully Saturday i can get the neverending project done and get some stuff shipped out .

Might even take a shower, its is the w/e ya know :D
 
Can't you just get her a pretty BB gun? They make some chrome plated ones that are shiney....
Girls like knives too, they don't appreciate when its a kitchen knife that comes with a card saying "now get in the kitchen an bake me some pie!" ;)

I'm gonna have a busy weekend too. Not much going on today so I'll probably get the framelock I'm working on finished after I get home from school. Then tomorrow I'm going with my family to a sawmill in indiana, hoping to find some good handle material, or maybe something for a gunstock. They specialize in re-sawing and have some bins where you can buy stuff by the pound.Supposed to go watch the ball game with some friends if I get home in time (OSU vs. Michigan, its been fairly quiet on campus this year, I think most people realize we're gonna get whipped, lots of signs up reminding us not to riot)
Might play paintball sunday, definitely will be shoveling horseshit again. And I have a little 6 month old colt who likes to kick people when they try to work on his back feet. So I got some wrestling to do before the farrier comes next week.
 
I have to work on 2 jobs and a pair that will go out for testing... maybe something will come of that next year (in print ;) )

Hey Mark...how old is she?

If she is below 10, sparkly things are always good to get. Makeup??
If she is older get her a gift certificate to a music / CD store and a BB GUN :D
 
I think you guys are going to have more fun than me. If it quits raining long enough I'll be raking leaves all day. If not today, tomorrow. Somewhere in there I'm going to start some sheaths using all that great new knowledge from Chuck Burrows' DVD. And that's it.

Oh, brush the dog. She's shedding like a fool.
 
GrassHoppa brought over a Prime Rib Roast and I am going to cook it up for the guys tomorrow. We will be making up some damascus and cutting up the wood that GrassHoppa brougth back from his visit to J.'s. We are going to sell it at the show on Sunday for the Club. :D

Friday. Tough to be at work here today, knowing it's going to hit 60 degrees. All my pals are taking today off to go motorcycling - probably the last good day of the year. I had some dental surgery earlier this week and can't afford to take any more time off. :grumpy:

So I guess I'll try to get home early and get my butt up on the ladder. I'm getting closer to gettin' 'er done!

Actually that's Uma's sister Emu - and she has some serious stems on her!

I think I will keep the shop door closed -- It is raining and will turn to snow by Saturday and my motorcycle doesn't like the taste of Stabil that will be going in the gas tank :grumpy: Maybe I could turn it around so it can't see outside :D

Had to finish grinding the bevels on my 1x42......:barf:


Looks like this weekend is going to be a "mandatory break"......:( :(
 
Shaved my beard last night and now my face is all cold. The fun part is trying out all the different styles as you shave. Left a good ol police-issue 'stache until my girlfriend got home. Needless to say, she didn't like it, and I got a good laugh out of it. :D

As for the weekend, I'm going to do some deer hunting and mayhaps a little duck hunting up north. After that, it's sheathwork, forging, and grinding. :D
 
I'm going to be stuck in the office again today. My wife's delivering and picking up in VB because we're short handed again.

Tomorrow, I'm going hunting. Tonight, I'm rust browning the WI/Damascus hawk.
Today at some point, I have a rifle to bore sight. I think I'll invite my father-in-law over. No one is more boring than he! :D

I have 3 Raccoons that seem to have moved into my attic. I would like to make hats out of them but my wife wants me to evict them peacefully. I guess I'll be cutting tree limbs Sunday.

I shaved my head in November once. Got sick as a dog.
 
I have to fix my sons tricycle. We were racing and I broke one of the rear wheel spokes .....at full speed. Yep, I wiped out pretty good. Driveway rash and all..he he he he. fun stuff. (uhhhmm just for the record, not sitting down riding, but more like a scooter one foot on one foot pushing like crazy mode)

With him on his "big boy bike" and me on the radio flyer, I just can't out run him anymore :mad:

Maybe with a new set of rear tires and axel.......I might have a chance :D

After I regain my title, maybe I can beat on some steel. :)

YEEE HAWWW, I start my two week vacation today. I'm off until Dec 4. I'm doing a gunshow this weekend but only have one knife to sell :eek: I had three but sold two within the last month. I do have three special orders to be picked up at the show. I've got my t-shirts to sell also. I'm in the middle of finishing 9 knives for the Chesapeake show. Plus a couple of other custom orders. So this weekend I'll be sitting on my butt selling and talking knives, ain't life great. :D

Starting to pack up the apartment so we can move in a few weeks. The new house has a basement workshop! I can't wait. Then taking a good friend out for his annual birthday dinner at the German restaurant (bratwurst brauerwurst sauerkraut Spaten Optimator...ausgezeichnet!).

And waiting for my brother to receive this:

and see what he thinks. (It's chisel-ground A2. Not much, but I've been dubbing around with about 4 different blades and I needed to finish something before I went totally nutso and gave up. Not bad for my first completed effort, I think.)
