I just started my regular 3 day weekend on my day job. It's raining, so that kills the outside work. My ol' pal/gunsmith/sheath maker Abe is coming here this am, probably to add BS to the overflowing cart load. The construction folks finished my new # 2 shop, but haven't poured the forge slab in front if the shop yet. I now have a pretty good sized parking area in front of the shops, just finished. My boat is taking me fishing tomorrow morning. The contractor that's doing the work here asked me to eliminate his muskrats in his pond behind his house, and also eliminate some really dumb groundhogs at his place. My .17 is ready to go do the deed. I still have some time for shop work, in and out this weekend. Oh, yeah, hunting season opens Sept.1. IG, your fried squirrel will await you. Just come on by here, I'll fatten you up with REAL fine table fare! You folks are familiar with rivet forges, the little round three legged jobs with the hand crank blower? I have one really good one, and I am having a buddy pick another one up at an auction, for less than $50. It's in a junk pile, and I probably can get it for junk price, according to him. I'm sliding into the forging end of making knives, fellas.
