Got some catching up to do one a couple of projects. Trying to get some loose ends tied up before the Trackrock hammer-in. Got to get my truck inspected. I wish they would do away with that crap. $$$

What you guys doing?

I am working to finish up an order for the UK thats a week or so behind schedule because of everyone in my damn house getting sick (but me ;))
Looks like I will be bring knives already complete and a few blades not finished just to get your opinion with (a file) on my HT progress. I'll bring the broken blade I made a few months back to let you check iy out. Maybe I can learn one more little bit of info about it. My token got to CREX this week so now all I have to do is get there. Can you email me your directions Mark? Last time I went one way and back another so just currious which way you take.

The Great Northwest Blade Forging and Knife Exposition starts this morning and goes thru Sunday right here in my hometown, Spokane, Wa. I feel like I've just won the lottery. Went to the demonstrators dinner lastnight had a great time. I have never attended anything like this before. This should be more fun then a person should be allowed to have!

Can't figure out why the majority of the hammerin's on the eastern part of the US are free and most the ones on the western part come with a fee. I'd be tempted to go to the one in Spokane but just can't justify the cost of the whole trip at this time.

I got the last piece of steel siding hung on the eastside of my shop yesterday just before it got to dark to see. I'll finish screwing off that side this morning and then move to the southside. Got gutters to hang there so I'll have to put my cat walk up again. Hope to get the outside done this weekend and maybe get some wirring started. Sure hope when I get this all done I can still remember how to make knives and hawks.......

Cooking today for the HI. The kale soup always taste better the 2nd day. Got GrassHoppa and Paul Sabin doing the leg work today.

Finally gonna get one of these orders in the mail today. Then got 3 more orders to get crackin on. School kicked my ass this week, but I got a few more weeks till anymore tests so I'm gonna try to get a bunch done in the shop.
I would like to say that my plans for the weekend are to ride my horse, make some knives, and shoot some guns. But the truth is it will probably be shovel horseshit, mow the yard/start fall cleanup, and probably get called to work.

Well, off to the post office and then work. Have fun at the harmmer ins an knife shows everybody :)

Work at the farm as usual. Was showing around the RR spike knife I made last week and got orders for some so I guess I'll be making some of them. More belly keys. Maybe try to update my site a little. Class tonight, some of the lower ranks think they want to learn some unarmed defenses against a knife. I get to show them how serious they have to get when blades are involved.

for more fun :D hopefully a show of our own too sometime.. :D

I've got two knives that need to get done. Also have a bunch of family coming over. My brother and his wife from Colorado and my wife's sister and her husband and daughter from Virginia. Somehow everybody decided to come all at the same time. going to be one busy house for the next two weeks

I just got back from the lake. First time my bass boat has hit the water in quite a while. Had to replace a blown piston and make some other repairs. It's taken me 2.5 years to get it done. Lots of stuff going on in life got in the way.

Caught three average 'toona fish (Allatoona spotted bass) but mostly just let her rip up and down the lake for a couple of hours testing her out. Now that I got that out of the way guess I'll start packing for Trackrock.

"CHEF" IG sounds good, too. You cooking up some squirrel for those folks, too?

We went hunting Thurs. but no luck. Fri. morning I shot a six pointer. We tracked it about a half mile but no luck finding it. Fri. eve. hunt was a success. I was hunting in the middle of a cut corn field (I've found this tactic pretty good for sniping deer along field/woods edges) I wear my Carhartts so I blend in with the field and stay in the prone position. I've taken alot of deer this way. They don't expect it. Two doe came out and I made a 130 yd. shot off my Harris bi-pod. I use a Knight Bighorn 50cal. blackpowder rifle. Going out Sat. morn. and eve. Sun. I'll be skinning and cutting up the doe. Ahh, venision for the freezer. :D
