A lot of my most recent Buck purchases have been new models. In fact I finally used one of my BCCI discounts for a new B&C 120 off the Buck website, should be here next week. Anyway, I just received a nice little 2 dot 112 that I won off he big auction site the other day. It's used but in pretty nice shape. It's not like I don't have other 112's or even other 2 dots but the funniest thing is that I was more excited about getting this little 2 dot than the last half dozen new knives I've bought. All of the new ones are great knives, no issues or anything and I welcome them into my collection and EDC rotation but this little fella that came on Thursday sure has made me happy. Like I said, it's the funniest thing.

Badhammer, I know what you mean. I have lots of knives but the two knives I have been the most excited about this year were both used and under $30. The old 119 and the 701.

Same here... for some reason I got very excited about a little 709X that I won off the auction site for a whopping total of $11.35 including the shipping...lol

Then when it arrived with both of the factory edges still hair shaving sharp, I was even more happy!

It is in my pocket right now :)

Glad I'm not alone in this regard. I'm a big time 700 addict and waiting for a new one of those to arrive is the height of anticipation. Love the new Bucks of all description but it really is the lightly used ones for decades past that bring me the most enjoyment. That being said the 120 I've got coming along with some more Buck coffee mugs is a nice treat to look forward to until the next oldie comes along.
