Here is a surprise that showed up in yesterday's shipment and a pretty decent surprise it is. The blade is by Sanu, a 15 inch Ak style and done up to Sanu's usual standards. One side is engraved with Ganesh, the other with Hanuman. You can see what our carver did to the handle.

The scabbard is a collaboration of our Newari Carver, Bhimsen and Sanu. Wood carving excellently done by our Newari pal. Engraving on the metal scabbard hardware by Bhimsen, metal hardware made by Sanu.

Third pix shows carving on back of scabbard and pix 4 shows sample of Bhimsens work that coverd all the scabbard hardward.

It's impressive and a 10/10 effort by all.

One only and it's yours for $245. Call or email if interested.

WOW! Not what I am looking for, but fantastic work. I will have to start thinking about my next order. I have a Tarwar in mind, and with all these custom designs and one of a kinds coming through, maybe I can come up with something unique.

This one is really nice! Too bad, that I am still waiting for my WWII chiruwa style (guess, the guys at the customs are having problems with letting it go or finding the correct tax number (knife, axe, tool, sword, what actually is this!! ..) in their book

Savin' the money for a Canemaster's Cane after I get square with Uncle Bill and HI.
I don't believe that the canes will turn into an addiction, But one never knows.
I hope not because I can't really afford HIKV let alone another addiction or virus.

If any of the rest of you old fogeys haven't seen these take a gander at
http://www.canemasters.com
These are works of art in themselves as well.
And since I need either a walking stick or cane to go very far why not have something Beautiful & Deadly to get around with?

I am gonna cry... that is just SO pretty. That carver is a treasure... a real asset to HI in my opinion. I have to get some of this guys work, being a woodcarver myself I am impressed. Even if the carvings were stand alone I would love them, having them paired with a khukuri is just icing the cake.

Wow! Very impressive. Sanu is on a roll.

¥vsa, this is indeed one nice khukuri. I think that this particular style will be the most sought after art khukuri this year.

Hrrck!
that's the sound of a vacuum being created as all the air in the room gets pulled into my lungs upon my first view of this piece. That's stunning work. And my compliments, Bill, on the fine detail in your pix.

A nice khukuri in nice pix! And congrats to Jelly Fish for your second HI khukuri. Sanu must have fascinated you by his WWII. I hope I can see it some day. Have fun!
