The GCK is an odd knife in that you probably do not gravitate to it initially, but once you have one or use one, it grows on you, and for good reason! As I've noted in previous posts, it is not a perfect knife (such a thing probably doesn't exist, anyway...), but it is a fantastic all-round knife with wonderful features to it. As of this writing, if I had to choose one hard-use knife to take with me, it would be my GCK, at least the spearpoint one.Unfortunately, the GCK was removed from the standard line-up for unknown reasons. However...
...It's back for a while, in the form of the Limited Factory Run! First up is the Tanto version, which I think is less versatile, but is by no means a bad choice - have you seen what it can do to a campfire?:

I bought my GCKs back when they were on their way out, so even though the OD calls to me, I think I should show some restraint here. But if you need a good all-purpose knife, you cannot go wrong with this one!
NOTE: It looks like these were available earlier through certain distributors which don't show up on my radar, if you will.
