A little birdie told Paul Hilborn that I collect Camillus-made knives in a glass display case. (I think the birdie was a Kiwi!!
)
So he sent me a wonderful and rare StreamLine Jack!
The Spear blade, especially the saber-grind, is not often seen!
Thanks so much, Paul!! I will add it to the display today, and edit in a picture here later.
StreamLine was a line of knives that Camillus initiated in the 1930s. Anyone know more about them? Goins implies they were only made in the '30s, and Levine isn't sure
?
Crossed swords on the mark side, with 4-line stamp on the reverse.
Come back here later to see more!!
Here's more!!
Pile side.
Pile side tang.
Amazing how big those scratches appear under 8X magnification!!
Camillus Collection. Cell phone pics - sorry!
Center of collection.
