This place is such a sanctuary for me and I assume many others. The knowledge, kindness, humor and just good people are so abundant here that it's a pleasure to break away from the trials and tribulations of day to day life to come visit here and be amongst friends:)

My wife and I along with our boy's went to the movies yesterday and upon our arrival home our son retrieved the mail. He mentioned there was a package for me and I thought it odd because all the gifts I ordered have arrived by know.

Well to my surprised was a gift from "Doug Add". We had done some trading in the recent past and I had also expressed my interest in his Utica EZ open Jack. We exchanged and email or two discussing options of a trade but they just didn't come to fruition at the time.

Well low and behold the Utica in all it's character and glory was packaged nice and neat with a simple yet moving note. "Dear Paul, Merry Christmas my friend! Hope you enjoy it. Doug" all I can say is it's a pleasant surprise when things like this are the norm here. THANK YOU DOUG!!! I wish Doug and all the members here a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukkah and Happy New Year:thumbup:

Thanks for the kind words everyone. As I said to Paul in reply to his email of thanks, that right there is why I sent it to him. I knew he would enjoy and appreciate it.

I have been the recipient of similar kindness, and every time I use the Case knife that showed up unbidden in my mailbox I not only enjoy using such a fine knife, but I recall with fondness the kindness of the one who gave it to me.
 
No ordinary knife, and no ordinary people!
I love this Forum, and all who inhabit it!!
 
Nice knife, great gesture by Doug, and thanks to Paul for this thread, yet one more chance to remind us that any community takes its strength from the quality of each and every person in it, and both of you do a great job in making this place what it is.

This S/F attracts a special kind of people. I noticed it the first time I visited here, and it is still very much that way...

I echo Elliots words, a truly deserving member you are Paul, and Doug is one heck of a nice guy as well, good on you guys, this place is so great, and Paul you have helped me out SO much in the past...I cant say enough about ya bud :thumbup:
